Superhero Spotlight

When capes and tights ruled the airwaves, Saturday mornings brought larger-than-life heroes into living rooms. From world-saving mutants to web-slinging icons, these shows proved cartoons could be both action-packed and inspiring.

#1 – Batman: The Animated Series (1992–95)
Dark, stylish, and brilliantly written. Elevated superhero cartoons into high art.

#2 – X-Men: The Animated Series (1992–97)
A soap opera of mutant struggles, action, and teamwork. Hugely influential and still beloved.

#3 – Spider-Man: The Animated Series (1994–98)
Faithful to the comics, packed with cliffhangers, and brought Spidey’s rogues’ gallery to life.

#4 – Super Friends (1973–86)
Corny by today’s standards, but it cemented Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman as TV icons.

#5 – Static Shock (2000–04)
Underrated gem with diverse storytelling and real-world issues blended with superhero action.

Honorable Mentions:
The Incredible Hulk (1982–83), Justice League (2001–04), Iron Man (1994–96).
